The world will be watching! Come make history with the Academy at the N.C. premiere of TMA’s first opera - performed concert style with orchestra. Composed by Sophia Pavlenko, our Composer in Residence, this almost unbelievable work has all the elements of grand opera that you expect. Set in the ancient world at the transition from wizards and magic to the time of Christians and men, it features Evil Vikings against Good Vikings, swords and forges, forbidden love, miracles, fight scenes – and of course a hero that has to die! Opera just doesn’t get any better – and it’s all born here at the Academy. Our spectacular cast features all the original singers from the world premiere.
